Bathroom prefab

Wooden prefab bathroom module

Trebadekabin is a prefabricated bathroom module developed by Oslotre and Aanesland Tre, built with cross-laminated timber (CLT) and the first of its kind in Scandinavia. As wood and prefabrication shape the future of construction, this CLT-based bathroom offers a sustainable, locally produced alternative with a low environmental footprint. Wood has a long history in wetrooms, a tradition lost in modern times. Trebadekabin revives this by proving that wood can be used both inside and out, offering advantages over traditional tiled bathrooms. Its natural ability to regulate humidity reduces condensation, keeps mirrors clear, and provides a warm, comfortable feel underfoot, while its lightweight structure makes installation easier than concrete or steel alternatives. Each order includes architect consultation for a tailored design. The prototype’s interior was sponsored by Linn Bad, Lundhs Real Stone, Dornbracht, Laufen, and Expo Nova. Trebadekabin is an innovative, elegant, and sustainable choice for modern construction.
