The Birdsnest

Fuglekasse 3.0 is a compact, sustainable cabin developed by OSLOTRE using their modular system, designed for easy assembly and minimal environmental impact. Built primarily from mass timber and wood fiber insulation, the structure stores significant amounts of CO₂ while remaining lightweight and transport-efficient—up to seven units can be delivered in a single trailer. With a flexible 15 m² floor plan, integrated storage, and a loft for extra space, the cabin is optimized for off-grid or nature-based living. Its simple construction, durability against snow and wind loads, and ecological footprint make it a modern interpretation of minimal Nordic architecture.
